Teagan Crawford-Greene

Bio
A student at Maryland Institute College of Art majoring in Ecosystems, Sustainability, and Social Justice (ESJ). Teagan is also minoring in Product Design and creates products with transitional and sustainable design theories. Currently working on projects that push the limits of mycelium as a sculptural material as well as processing HDPE plastic into material that can be machined. Teagan's design projects are heavily motivated by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report projections and will use design for forge a better path into the future. Teagan has expansive leadership skills that have been displayed in her many roles within committees as well as a leader within her school's student government. Teagan's dedication to sustainability comes from more than just her love of nature and the influences that growing up in Asheville, NC. It is highly driven by her work with children's. Being a youth yoga instructor and a long time professional nanny, has given her to motivation to be very stubborn about sustainability efforts, while also developing a skill set of patience, communication, creative problem solving that comes from working with children.
